simple Terms of Use

simple is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Unless a separate written agreement applies, simple uses Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.

These notes summarize simple-specific product terms. If these notes conflict with Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, Apple’s agreement controls.

Simple Plus

Simple Plus unlocks an unlimited shelf, automatic AI enrichment, the weekly-intention widget, and share cards without a watermark. It is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewable subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.

Pricing, subscription period, renewal, cancellation and refund handling are managed through your Apple Account and Apple’s App Store purchase flow. Manage or cancel in Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ Subscriptions, or through Customer Center in the app’s Settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

The free shelf covers your first 50 things and every core feature: capture, cutouts, on-device naming, the shelf, the let-go flow, the memory shelf and statistics.

If Plus lapses, nothing is deleted. Your shelf stays intact and readable; adding beyond 50 things and automatic AI enrichment pause until you resubscribe.

The lifetime purchase grants Plus features for as long as simple is available and operating. It is not a promise of perpetual service and is not transferable.

AI output is an estimate

Simple Plus uses a third-party AI model to identify items from photos. It is frequently wrong, and everything it produces is editable — anything you typed yourself is never overwritten.

Resale ranges are rough guesses, not appraisals. They are not a valuation, not financial advice, and not suitable for insurance, tax, probate, legal or accounting purposes. Get a professional valuation for anything of real worth. Decisions you make from AI output — selling, donating, discarding or insuring something — are your own.

Your content and your backups

The photos, names, notes and stories you put into simple are yours. No licence over them is claimed, and they cannot be read from here. The one exception is the AI enrichment feature described in the Privacy Policy, which transmits a copy of an item photo for identification and retains nothing.

You are responsible for your own backups. Deleting the app, losing the device, or disabling iCloud can permanently destroy your data, and it cannot be recovered for you — no copy of it is held here.

Availability

AI enrichment depends on services outside this app’s control — Cloudflare, OpenAI, Apple, RevenueCat — and may be slow, unavailable or withdrawn. If it is withdrawn entirely the app keeps working: capture, cutouts, on-device naming and everything else run on your iPhone and need no server.

Please don’t attack, overload or reverse-engineer the AI proxy or its membership checks, or use it other than through the app. Fair-use limits apply, and access to the AI feature may be suspended for a membership that exceeds them.
